RAMnotes is designed to keep your notes in a folder you choose. This page describes the macOS app and the RAMnotes website. Publisher: TODO. For privacy questions, contact support@ramnotes.com.

Information in the RAMnotes app

RAMnotes does not send your note text or note metadata to RAMnotes servers. Notes are ordinary UTF-8 .txt files in your selected folder, including a folder in iCloud Drive if you choose one. Apple controls iCloud Drive storage and access under Apple’s terms. Background tints, window positions, and other app preferences are stored locally on your Mac.

The app does not include an advertising tracker or analytics service. Optional tips are available only in the App Store build. Apple processes those in-app purchases; RAMnotes does not receive your payment card or billing details.

If you download RAMnotes from GitHub or Homebrew, those services process information under their own privacy policies.

This website

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process technical request information to deliver and protect the site. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate page-view measurements. Cloudflare says Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage for its analytics metrics. Support form

If you send a support request, the form sends the name and email address you provide, the selected topic, any app or macOS version you enter, and your message to Web3Forms so the site operator can receive and answer it. Do not include passwords, payment details, or note contents unless they are needed to explain the issue.

Web3Forms processes the submission and may retain it under its service settings. Its privacy policy states that submissions are kept for a maximum of three years by default and may be deleted sooner depending on the service configuration. The retention setting for the RAMnotes form must be confirmed with the site operator before launch. Web3Forms also describes its infrastructure providers in that policy.

Children

RAMnotes and this website are not directed to children under 13. Do not submit a child’s personal information through the support form.

Changes to this policy

This policy may change as the app or website changes. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated.
